Hey Mr. McCaleb:
Maybe you would care to put this email up on your website. I doubt it since
you could not stand for anyone to hear the truth about the way you have been
carrying out a vendetta against WRANPS, and now against me, merely because I
happen to manage their website. That must really gall you; that someone
would actually give up their free time to help a deserving organization such
as Wildlife Rehabilitation and Nature Preservation Society, Inc., WRANPS.
Mr. McCaleb has sent me annoying unsolicited emails accusing me of being in
league with WRANPS who he claims stole his tools and beat him out of over
$7,000 when asked to do a construction job for them. I have no idea where
he gets this idea and I told him I did not wish to become involved in his
vendetta against WRANPS. However, he has ignored my requests to be left out
of his little "war" with WRANPS. He has bombarded my website guest book
with slanderous and incorrect defamations, he has posted our logo on his
website, he has stolen my website pages and attached them to his website to
be used in what can only be described as a vindictive manner.
So Mr. McCaleb, go ahead and post this email on your website and let the
world know just what a liar you really are.

You state: you have been carrying out a vendetta against WRANPS.

I have requested many, many, times for WRANPS, INC., to pay me what I am due, plus profit and the tools which were stolen.  The word "vendetta" which means "dispute" may be a little harsh but if that is the word you like.

You state: and now against me, merely because I happen to manage their website.

I do not have a dispute against you, on the contrary, you have actually helped me out by publishing your website on the Internet.  You should be lauded for your actions, and I, most of all, thank you.

Once again, I have nothing against you personally, what you do with your free time is your business. But I do take exception of WRANPS, INC., being called a "deserving organization" when it is actually an "undeserving SCAM society."

First of all, I have not sent you unsolicited email, you have to open my mail, as I do yours in order to read what one says.  You may be in league with WRANPS, INC., but it does not bother me, what you do on your free time is your business.  I do not claim WRANPS, INC., stole my tools, I know they stole my tools, " this is no brainier.  My tools were left at the job site, their attorney, Reilly Morse, told me not to return to the job site until the matter was resolved.  It been 10 years now and the matter is still not resolved and I do not have my tools. Actually it was $7,790 plus profit and stolen tools, and I was contracted to do the construction work.

I do not understand where you get the word, "idea", I am not dreaming that I spent $7,790 of my own money and I have never received one penny back.  And as far as you getting involved in this dispute, it seems you are doing that all by yourself.

I find it hard to ignore you, and personally I do not see where you are involved in this little "war" as you call it.  You have not lied to me, stolen any tools from me, or cheated me out of money & profit. I believe your doing a great job at what you do.

After looking at your "website guest book" it seems it always has the same people listed. As far as bombarding you, is stretching the truth, just a bit. I have cut and pasted part of the website to your guest book. I have stated that WRANPS, INC., is a SCAM and placed my web addresses on you guest book.  But not everyone believes that WRANPS, INC., is a good Society. You must learn to take the bad criticisms along with the good.  
As you know, I have taken the "LOGO" off my website. I did however phone the, US PATENT & TRADEMARK OFFICE, yesterday and requested the forms to register the Logo in my name. So, like I said before, you better not be bluffing when you stated that the logo was registered. 
I have not stolen  anything from you, I have used the, "Fair Uses" law to show what WRANPS, INC., stands for.  Its just that I do not agree with a Society which lies, steals, & cheats.  You are right about being vindictive, which means "bitter" and until WRANPS, INC., settles up with me, I will stay "bitter."

Trademarks: If you are using a Trademark (either a wordmark or a picturemark) you should register it in the US Patent and Trademark Office to protect the use of the name. Without registration, you have only common law rights which are difficult and expensive to prove.

Harrison County Building Code Office: I am announcing today, ( July 5, 2000 at 4:43pm), I was told that Ben Clark has retired. I phoned the Code Office and the lady which answered the phone stated;  The new Director of the Harrison  Building County Code Office is Richard Herrin. I was told this took place two (2) months ago.
I mailed the below letter to Richard Herrin today (July 5, 2000).
Lets see if Richard Herrin is either an honest man or another Ben Clark!!

    WRANPS receives grant for $39,373.86 from the Department of Marine Resources. This grant will allow the Center to support two rehabilitation interns over the next year, construct a filtration system for the planned shorebird aviary, and will additionally provide much-needed money for day-to-day operations of the Wildlife Center. The WRANPS Wildlife Center and its staff, and the Advisory Board are all very appreciative of the support that both the DMR and the Mississippi State Legislature have shown through both past and present support of our activities through grants made available through the Tidelands Trust Fund Program.

           ACTUALLY WRANPS HAS RECEIVED $70,000.00  DURING THE PHYSICAL YEARS OF  1997, 1998, & 2000.  AGAIN, I NEED TO POINT OUT THAT THE GRANT MONEY (YOUR TAX DOLLARS) CAME FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF MARINE RESOURCES/TIDELANDS.  WRANPS IS LOCATED IN THE WOODS, ON LAND OWNED BY THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI.  SECRETARY OF STATE MISSISSIPPI, ERIC CLARK IS THE OVERSEER OF TIDELANDS.

WRANPS has been in existence for 17 years on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and provides proper care for injured and orphaned wildlife. WRANPS operates under Federal and State permits, and volunteers at the WRANPS Wildlife Center attend workshops, seminars, and other ongoing training to provide the most up-to-date treatment for the animals in their care. In 1984, more than 400 wild animals passed through WRANPS doors. Our total number of animals in 1997 was over 1200! WRANPS is a non-profit volunteer organization that depends on volunteers and donations to carry on its work. The Director, Katy Pope, is the only salaried staff member and is instrumental in keeping the organization together. She also depends heavily on volunteers to carry on our mission to rescue, rehabilitate, release, and educate.

The Wildlife Center in Pass Christian is open seven days a week, from 9 to 5 but is not open to the public. We try to provide a stress-free environment for our sick animals while they recuperate. In the spring and fall, WRANPS hosts an Open House where the public is invited in to see what we do. Then we often have educational animals, wildlife displays, and presentations to show and demonstrate to the public.

We have an ongoing volunteer program and try to have orientations, meetings, and workshops often. If you would like to volunteer and are over 18, please give us a call at (228)-452-WILD (9453) for the next scheduled orientation. You must also become a member of WRANPS ($20 annually) in order to work under our state and federal permits. There are many jobs available for the volunteers. If you find you aren't able to handle the animal care, you can organize fundraisers, enter data into the computer, answer phone calls, make arrangements for an injured or orphaned animal, be a wildlife photographer, do carpentry work, or even run for a position on the Advisory Board. We would love to have you at our next orientation where you can get more information. In addition, we have an internship program that is sponsored by Chevron.
