"WE THE PEOPLE"
THAT IS WHAT THE CONSTITUTION STATES

NOT
"WE THE POLITICIAN & STATE AGENCIES"
WILL RULE OVER THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF
MISSISSIPPI.
WE, BEING THE ULTIMATE POWER OVER THE PEOPLE,  AND MUST KEEP THE PEOPLE OF THIS STATE BELIEVING THAT "WE THE POLITICIANS & STATE AGENCIES"
ARE DOING THEIR WORK FOR THEM, AND THEY MUST NOT
EVER FIND OUT THAT WE HAVE OUR OWN AGENDA.

DOES THE ABOVE JUST ABOUT COVER EVERYTHING WHICH IS WRONG WITH OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS AND STATE AGENCIES
IN THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI?

The people of Mississippi must take back what was once there, public law, public trust, public honesty, public agencies; these were at one time governed by the Mississippians.
Twenty (20) years ago, would our legislature have tried to double there taxpayers retirement system behind closed doors?
But as time has gone by the politicians and state agencies have turned the tides on the people of Mississippi. Instead of serving the people they run the people of Mississippi, the politicians pass laws after laws to protect themselves. If you, as a citizen of Mississippi file a complaint against an attorney. Who do you think investigates (
if their is an investigation) the attorneys?  The attorney's of the Mississippi Bar Association General Counsel that is who.  You have attorneys investigating attorneys, that should be against the law in itself.
But now is the time to return the power to the people, once again it is time, "WE THE PEOPLE" which is written into the Constitution.
Did you know their is nothing written in the Constitution stating that you must vote for either a Democrat or Republican? Did you know that just because the parties have a person nominated for there party, you can still vote for whom ever you deem to be the best qualified person.  Take a piece of paper and write down the persons name and what elected office you want he or she to win, and place the piece of paper in the ballot box.  Your vote must me counted!!

HERE IS A RECENT EXAMPLE

RECENTLY OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS WENT BEHIND CLOSED DOORS AND "SECRETLY" VOTED AND PASSED TO CHANGE THERE RETIREMENT SYSTEM.
THE CHANGE WILL DOUBLE THE AMOUNT THEY WOULD HAVE RECEIVED; LET SAY THEY WOULD HAVE GOTTEN $15,000 PER YEAR, BY VOTING BEHIND CLOSED DOORS AND PASSING THE BILL NOW THE TAXPAYERS WILL PAY $30,000 PER YEAR PER ELECTED OFFICIAL.
YOU RECENTLY ELECTED A NEW
GOVERNOR AND NEW LT. GOVERNOR WHICH HAVE STATED THEY DID NOT KNOW WHAT WAS IN THE BILL, EVEN THOUGH THEY STATED, THEY THEMSELVES, WOULD BENEFIT FROM THE PASSING OF THE BILL.  ALL BUT FOUR (4) VOTED FOR DOUBLING THERE RETIREMENT SYSTEM.
BUT AS YOU WOULD KNOW IT, OUR LAWMAKERS, HAVE A WAY OUT.
"CONVENIENT ISN'T IT"
NOW, SINCE THE PUBLIC KNOWS WHAT THERE ELECTED OFFICIALS HAVE DONE THE HEAT IS ON. SO, THE LT. GOVERNOR HAS ASKED FOR THE BILL TO BE REPEALED. KNOWING THIS IS A POLITICAL NIGHTMARE AND BEING A NEW  ELECTED OFFICIALS WHAT ELSE COULD COULD BE DONE?
I WOULD LIKE TO OBTAIN A COPY OF THE BILL. IF ANYONE CAN GET A COPY PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

HOW MUCH WOULD LIKE TO BET, THAT THE TEACHERS OF MISSISSIPPI WILL GET SCREWED AGAIN ON GETTING THERE PAY RAISES!!
BUT OUR LEGISLATURES ALWAYS TAKES CARE OF THEMSELVES!!

BUT THE POINT TO ALL OF THIS IS, THEY VOTED AND PASSED A BILL TO ENSURE THE TAXPAYERS OF MISSISSIPPI WOULD BE PAYING FOR THEIR RETIREMENT FOR THE REST OF THERE LIVES AND POSSIBLE LONGER.
I REQUESTED A COPY OF THE BILL FROM MY DISTRICT LEGISLATURE, JAMES (JIM) SIMPSON, BUT HE WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE MY REQUEST.

I REQUESTED A COPY OF SENATOR TRENT LOTT'S RETIREMENT SYSTEM, WHICH FROM WHAT I HAVE BEEN TOLD.  THERE (OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS) RETIREMENT SYSTEM IS WHAT EVER THERE SALARIES ARE WHEN THEY RETIRE, SAY $77,000.  THAT WILL ALSO BE THE AMOUNT THEY WILL RECEIVE IN RETIREMENT.
BUT TRY AND OBTAIN A COPY OF THERE RETIREMENT SYSTEM. SENATOR TRENT LOTT HAS NOT PROVIDED ME WITH HIS. IT MUST BE ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE LAWMAKERS LAWS TO PROTECT THEMSELVES.

I DID NOT KNOW THAT VOLUNTEERING TO SERVE THE PEOPLE OF MISSISSIPPI WAS SO EXPENSIVE. LETS SEE - 174 LEGISLATURES X $15,000= $ 2,610,000 per year. So if you double there retirement - 174 LEGISLATURES X $30,000= $ 5,220,000 per year.

How many times being elected, does it take an elected official to be eligible for this type of retirement?

I also did not know that volunteering to serve the people was a career position.  That is why their are elections, to replace elected officials which want to make staying elected a career.

LIKE JOHN STOSSLE (www.abc.com) SAYS ON ABC:

"IT'S YOUR MONEY"

"INITIATIVE"

Our legislators pass a bill giving the people of Mississippi, "INITIATIVE." This bill gives the people the right to collect the required signatures and to place five (5) ballots on every statewide election, (which is every two (2) years).

The legislature also tried to make it all but impossible to obtain the required signatures to place the peoples ballots on every statewide election.

This is where the power of the people comes into play. Lets look at how simple obtaining all the signatures needed in order to place five (5) Initiatives on every statewide elections.

With a network of people and computers and having this network throughout the state of Mississippi. Petitions are made to gather signatures, these petitions are placed in barber shops, clothing stores, wal-marts, k-marts, drug stores, anywhere and everywhere people go.  Have the petitions where they are readily available to the public so they can sign to have the Initiative placed on the ballot.

Signing a petition only allows people to vote on an issue one way or the other, a "yes" or "no" vote. It does not attempt to influence the voters one way or the other, (Like Mr. Leon Long, manager of WLOX-TV 13/ABC did, when he requested the voters of Mississippi to vote "NO" on term limits for elected officials, November 7, 1999) but it does allow the voters to vote on an issue they want to see on the ballot.

Any person, group, organization, etc., can start an Initiative, anywhere in Mississippi.

Having a means to obtain the required signatures with a network of people and computers is the key to having Initiative work.  Lets get together and change the way our elected officials and state agencies work, and return services back to the people.

Having anyone and everyone with the capability to E-mail is what is needed to see this through.  Join INITIATIVE!!
